On today’s show, we’re joined by Connor Knapp from Piper & Leaf Artisan Tea Co. based out Huntsville, Alabama. We recently did an episode on cold brew tea and we thought Connor and his company Piper & Leaf could contribute a lot of good information about different styles of tea and way to serve it. Piper & Leaf specializes in artisan blended teas – teas mixed with local fruits and herbs.
In this bonus episode, we catch up with a few of our previous guests. We’re joined in studio by Elijah Elliot from Red Hat Coffee in San Diego, CA. Next, we follow up with Blake Widmer form Deaf Can Coffee in Jamaica. We check-in with Jason Gershowitz from Coffee Counselor in DC. Gino Corrales checks in, and last but not least, Matt Bishop from Café Mulé joins us to talk about some of their recent expansions while Richard is stabled for the cold Boise winter.
Today, we review all of our prior episodes and discuss some of the many things that we learned throughout the year. And if you’re looking at the episode page on our website, it’s likely obvious that we shared a Firestone Walker Velvet Merkin on the show today.
Today we tackle questions that our listeners have submitted. We’re joined by Scotty who reads some questions from our guests, and we also answer a couple voicemail questions that listeners have submitted. Got a topic you’d like us to discuss? Today we’re once again joined by Gino Corrales who was on Episode 25 with us, but it was cut short due to technical difficulties. In this episode, we briefly continue our previous conversation about roasting coffee at home and homebrewing beer. More importantly, we dive into the topic of this episode holiday cocktails, and more specifically, winter holiday cocktails that use cold brew and/or coffee in them. Plus, Gino shares his famous coffee infused eggnog recipe – “Lé Café Eggy Noggy”
